It is the Indian Formula One Grand Prix tonight. I have a couple of wagers on the race as well as a multi that includes it and some of the early NFL games.

Fastest Lap: Sebastian Vettel ($2.25)

Will there be a safety car? Yes ($2.60)

Multi-bet:

Leg 1: In the Indian Formula One Grand Prix the number of classified drivers to be less than 18.5 drivers. ($2.35)

Leg 2: Total game score in the Sunderland v Newcastle EPL game to be great than 2.5 goals. ($1.73)

Leg 3: Detroit Lions to cover the line (-3.0 points) against the Denver Broncos in the NFL ($1.95)

Leg 4: Kansas City Chiefs to defeat the Cleveland Browns in the NFL ($1.30)

This multi will pay $10.31 for each dollar invested.

Shumpty’s Punt: Geelong Cup

It would be fair to say that the Geelong Cup this year is short on quality runners.

The obvious tip is the favourite Forgotten Voice. My money though will be on the Bryce Stanaway gelding Crafty Cruiser. He is stepping up in grade here but has excellent form over the distance having run a close 4th in the Listed Bart Cummings two and half weeks ago behind, among others Sea Moon. That form line makes me think the $9 fixed price about him on sportingbet.com.au is a bit of overs.

Racing in Queensland today is from the Gold Coast. A couple here worth having a look at:

Race 3: Reassemble (Number 6) (each way)
Race 6: Eastern Prince (Number 2) (each way)

Sporting punters out there, if you are looking for a wager today I think the best value today is in the ALCS and with the Detroit Tigers. I expect them to cover the line of -1.5 runs in this game and will have a little bet on them at $2.75.
