The Weekend Multi

I am not having a punt on the races this weekend, but I have run the ruler over the sport on this weekend and have come up with the following five leg multi that I am feeling quite confident about:

Leg 1: Richmond to cover the line (+24.5 points) against Sydney in the AFL.

Leg 2: Canberra to cover the line (+3.5 points) against the Bulldogs in the NRL.

Leg 3: Total game score great than 2.5 goals in game between France and Switzerland in the Soccer World Cup.

Leg 4: Hawthorn to defeat Collingwood by 1-39 points in the AFL.

Leg 5: Cronulla to cover the line (+9.5 points) against Manly in the NRL.

This multi should return around the $26 mark for each dollar invested.

As always:

  1. Please gamble responsibly.
  2. All care is taken with this tips however no liability for losses incurred.

My name’s Stephen and I have a confession …

The World Cup is about to start in Brazil and most people seem to be agog at the thought.  Frankly though, and this is my confession, I am completely nonplussed by it.  That is strange because, as a kid, the only sport I played more than soccer (I will never call it football) was cricket but I just can not seem to get excited by this tournament.

If I am honest I can glean a couple of reasons for this:

  • Whilst I enjoyed playing soccer it has never been a game that I enjoyed watching on TV or even live.
  • I concede that there are some supreme athletes who play the game but I have found, over the years, the litany of diving and histrionics on the pitch distasteful.
  • Will there ever be a World Cup tournament, the awarding of which, is not stained by the overt corruption of the Blatter regime at FIFA.

So whilst the bulk of people will be getting up in the early hours to watch games between the Ivory Coast and Hondurus I will remain in the land of nod with my social media accounts muted apropos the World Cup.

Fans of the World Cup: enjoy the tournament and can someone let me know when it is over?

Shumpty’s Punt: Weekend Mega FA Cup Multi

It is a massive weekend for FA Cup action in the England this weekend and having run my eyes of the combatants I am pretty comfortable that there is some value to be found in this round of fixtures in the form of a multi bet.  Here is my bet for this round of FA Cup action:

Leg 1: Nottingham Forest to defeat Preston.

Leg 2: Liverpool to defeat Bournemouth.

Leg 3: Draw between Bolton and Cardiff.

Leg 4: Total Game Score over +2.5 goals between Hull and Southend.

Leg 5: Everton to defeat Stevenage.

This multi should pay around $19 for each dollar invested.

As always: good luck and good punting and please gamble responsibly.

Shumpty’s Punt: English Soccer Multi

I have long been a follower of the round ball game but have not been super keen to tip a multi in the Premier League because I am not often a fan of a bet in which there are 3 available results when it comes to multi punting. That said, there are some odds this weekend on offer in the EPL that are just too good to resist so I am wading in with an investment. Here is my 4 leg English Premier League multi for this weekend:

Leg 1: Norwich to defeat Crystal Palace.

Leg 2: Draw between West Bromwich and Newcastle.

Leg 3: Manchester United to defeat Tottenham.

Leg 4: Liverpool to defeat Hull.

This multi should return around $26 for every dollar invested.

As always: please gamble responsibly!

Shumpty’s Punt: Saturday Night EPL Multi

With no cricket on I have been looking at other sport to watch tonight and have found myself drawn to the EPL fixtures on tonight. I have come up with a small 3 leg multi from tonight’s fixtures that I think is a good chance of getting up:

Leg 1: Everton to defeat West Brom at $1.61

Leg 2: Stoke to defeat Crystal Palace at $1.85

Leg 3: Liverpool to defeat Aston Villa at $1.95

This multi will pay $5.80 for each dollar invested and is certainly worth a wager tonight.

As always, please gamble responsibly.
