Shumpty’s Punt: Mega Weekend Multi

It is the weekend and that means sport, sport and more sport.  To make things interesting here is a 10 leg multi bet that I am feeling more than a bit confident about.

Leg 1: Hurricanes to defeat the Highlanders by between 1-13 points in Super Rugby.

Leg 2: Sydney Swans to defeat the Essendon Bombers by between 1-39 points in the AFL.

Leg 3: Oakland Athletics to defeat the Cleveland Indians in the MLB.

Leg 4: New York Yankees to defeat the Pittsburgh Pirates in the MLB.

Leg 5: Texas Rangers to cover the line (-1.5 runs) against the Toronto Blue Jays in the MLB.

Leg 6: Los Angeles Dodgers to cover the line (-1.5 runs) against the Arizona Diamondbacks in the MLB.

Leg 7: North Melbourne Kangaroos to defeat the Brisbane Lions by more than 39.5 points in the AFL.

Leg 8: Brumbies to defeat the Cheetahs in Super Rugby.

Leg 9: Canterbury Bulldogs to cover the line (-2.5 points) against the New Zealand Warriors in the NRL.

Leg 10: Waratahs to defeat the Lions by more than 12.5 points in Super Rugby.

This multi bet will be pay approximately $575 per each dollar invested.

I have been watching the EPL with interest given that I am a Liverpool FC fan and we have a chance of winning the title.

In overnight action (Australian time) I am tipping a draw between Manchester United and Sunderland.

That result will pay $4.50.

It is another long weekend in Australia this weekend and there is, as always, a plethora of sport both at home and abroad to watch and wager on.

Here is my multi for this weekend’s action:

Leg 1: Indiana Pacers to cover the line (-2.0 points) against the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA.

Leg 2: LA Dodgers to cover the line (-1.5 runs) against the Philadelphia Phillies in the MLB.

Leg 3: Waratahs to cover the line (-1.5 points) against the Blues in Super Rugby.

Leg 4: Melbourne Storm to cover the line (-8.5 points) against the New Zealand Warriors in the NRL.

Leg 5: Fremante Dockers to defeat the North Melbourne Kangaroos by less then 40 points in the AFL.

Leg 6: Gold Coast Suns to defeat Greater Western Sydney by less than 40 points in the AFL.

Leg 7: Reds to cover the line (+6.5  points) against the Hurricanes in Super Rugby.

Leg 8: Canterbury Bulldogs to cover the line (-6.5 points) against the Newcastle Knights in the NRL.

This multi will return around $250 per dollar invested.

Shumpty’s Punt: RBC Heritage Open (Golf)

After an epic US Masters tournament, attention returns to the PGA Tour and the RBC Heritage Open at the Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

There are some excellent players backing up this week from the Masters and the best of them, in my view, is Jim Furyk. At $21 for the win and $5.25 to finish in the top 5 he clearly has the game to play a part in the finish of this one at some value. He loves the Harbour Town layout having secured a win and two runners-up results in the past.

My money will be on the bloke with the strangest swing and ball flight in the modern game to have a great result for punters here.
