Oxfam Trailwalker Brisbane 2015: Team Parma

It is hard to believe that this time last month I, along with my Team Parma teammates, was about 85km into our 100km Trailwalker challenge.

We completed the course in a tick over 34 hours despite a few injuries along the way.

To say it was the hardest thing I have ever done is not hyperbole. Mentally and physically at points I was broken but my teammates and support crew lifted me when I thought I was at the end of endurance.

If the walk is the hardest thing I have done, the easiest thing is finding a few coins or notes to donate to Oxfam. I have learned a lot about the work they do over the last 4 months and they are nothing short of miracle workers.

So far we have raised $5980 for Oxfam but it is not too late to donate. If you are minded to add your assistance to the Oxfam cause you can do so here: https://trailwalker.oxfam.org.au/teamtracker/team/21886

Oxfam Trailwalker Brisbane 2015

In 16 days I will be taking on the challenge of walking 100kms through the D’Aguilar National Park all in the name of charity.

I am walking with three mates as part of Team Parma.  Our team site is here: https://trailwalker.oxfam.org.au/team/home/21886

Obviously, I would be delighted if you could find a way to donate to our cause.

We are training hard at the moment (40kms into the night on Saturday night last week was a massive test) and are looking forward to the challenge.

Bring on 19 June: this is going to be one of the hardest challenges of my life but I am looking forward to it!

Oxfam Trailwalker 2015

On 19/20 June I will be joining 3 mates to walk 100km through the D’Aguilar National Park raising money for Oxfam.

Here is the Team Parma teamsite: https://trailwalker.oxfam.org.au/team/home/21886

It is still in development but if you would like to donate it would be greatly appreciated.

On Saturday we did our first long training walk of 29km.  Needless to say there were sections that nearly ended me but I am proud that we got through and supported each other all the way through.

Watch this space for regular updates!
