Shumpty’s Punt: English Soccer Multi

I have long been a follower of the round ball game but have not been super keen to tip a multi in the Premier League because I am not often a fan of a bet in which there are 3 available results when it comes to multi punting. That said, there are some odds this weekend on offer in the EPL that are just too good to resist so I am wading in with an investment. Here is my 4 leg English Premier League multi for this weekend:

Leg 1: Norwich to defeat Crystal Palace.

Leg 2: Draw between West Bromwich and Newcastle.

Leg 3: Manchester United to defeat Tottenham.

Leg 4: Liverpool to defeat Hull.

This multi should return around $26 for every dollar invested.

It is the Indian Formula One Grand Prix tonight. I have a couple of wagers on the race as well as a multi that includes it and some of the early NFL games.

Fastest Lap: Sebastian Vettel ($2.25)

Will there be a safety car? Yes ($2.60)

Multi-bet:

Leg 1: In the Indian Formula One Grand Prix the number of classified drivers to be less than 18.5 drivers. ($2.35)

Leg 2: Total game score in the Sunderland v Newcastle EPL game to be great than 2.5 goals. ($1.73)

Leg 3: Detroit Lions to cover the line (-3.0 points) against the Denver Broncos in the NFL ($1.95)

Leg 4: Kansas City Chiefs to defeat the Cleveland Browns in the NFL ($1.30)

This multi will pay $10.31 for each dollar invested.

Shumpty’s Punt: Saturday Night EPL Multi

With no cricket on I have been looking at other sport to watch tonight and have found myself drawn to the EPL fixtures on tonight. I have come up with a small 3 leg multi from tonight’s fixtures that I think is a good chance of getting up:

Leg 1: Everton to defeat West Brom at $1.61

Leg 2: Stoke to defeat Crystal Palace at $1.85

Leg 3: Liverpool to defeat Aston Villa at $1.95

This multi will pay $5.80 for each dollar invested and is certainly worth a wager tonight.

Leg 1: Queensland Reds to cover the line (-5.5 points) against the Hurricanes in the Super 15 at Lang Park tonight at $1.92

Leg 2: Chiefs to cover the line (-16.5 points) against the Cheetahs in the Super 15 at Hamilton at $1.92

Leg 3: In the A League, the total goals scored in the Mariners v Wanderers game to be over 2.5 goals at $2.00

Leg 4: Manchester United to defeat Norwich in the EPL at $1.30

I have not been punting much of late but have done a fairly close examination of the form this weekend and have a couple of fancies at Doomben and sports multi that I am keen on.

Leg 1: On Saturday in the NBA the Miami Heat to cover the line against the Indiana Pacers (-2.5 points) at $1.92

Leg 2: Also on Saturday in the NBA the New York Knicks to defeat the Milwaukee Bucks at $1.48

Leg 3: In the early hours of Sunday morning in the EPL QPR to defeat Norwich at $1.95

Leg 4: Also in the early hours of Sunday morning in the EPL Arsenal to defeat Stoke at $1.44

Leg 5: Finally it is Super Bowl weekend and it would not be a weekend multi without a Super Bowl bet for Monday morning and in that came I like the San Francisco 49ers to cover the line against the Baltimore Ravens (+3.5 points) at $1.89.

Shumpty’s Punt: some Saturday bets

It has been a bit of a barren spell on the punt on this blog and frankly that has been a combination of not having much spare time to do the form and really think about my bets and not being able to pick my nose when it comes to a winner.

This week (and particularly last night as I watch the highlights of today’s play at the Adelaide Oval) I have had more of a chance to think about some bets for this week.

Here is where I think there might be some winners over the rest of the weekend and where I will be investing my hard earned cash.

Leg 2: Stoke to defeat Fulham at home in the EPL ($2.20)

Leg 3: Tennessee Titans to cover the line (-3.5) against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL ($1.90)

Leg 4: Denver Broncos to cover the line (-10.0) against the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL ($1.90)
