The Weekend Mega Multi: Sport, sport and more sport!

It is the weekend and that means there is more than enough sport to keep punters interested.  Here is my seven leg multi bet for this weekend’s action:

  • Leg 1: Manly to cover the line (-2.5 points) against Canterbury in the NRL.
  • Leg 2: Toronto Blue Jays to defeat the St Louis Cardinals in the MLB.
  • Leg 3: Texas Rangers to cover the line (-1.5 runs) against the Cleveland Indians in the MLB.
  • Leg 4: Essendon to defeat Greater Western Sydney by 40 points or more in the AFL.
  • Leg 5: Australian Wallabies to cover the line (-1.5 points) against France in the Rugby Union test.
  • Leg 6: Maria Sharapova to cover the handicap (-3 games) against Simona Halep in the French Open Womens final.
  • Leg 7: LA Kings to defeat the New York Rangers in the NHL.

This multi should return around $90 for every dollar invested.

Shumpty’s Punt: Thursday Tempter

Leg 3: Los Angeles Kings to cover the line (-1.5 goals) against the New York Rangers in the NHL.

Queensland Oaks Day: Tips

The winter carnival shifts across the road to Eagle Farm today for Queensland Oaks Day. Whilst I am not massively enamoured with the day, here are a couple of tips I do fancy.

Race 1: King Kamada Number 1

Race 3: Akzar Number 2

Race 6: Costa Viva Number 14 (each way)

Queensland Oaks (Race 7): Tinto Number 2 (each way)

I will also be having an omen bet: any time Moriarty goes around I have a wager on the horse: what can I say, I am a Sherlock Holmes fan!

As always:

1. Please gamble responsibly.
2. All care is taken in the making of these tips by no responsibility for any losses incurred.

The Mega Weekend Multi

Last week I had some success with a six leg multi.  I had not been posting my multi’s on here for a while because, frankly, people had not been reading the posts.  Nonetheless, inspired by last week, I have decided to have a crack at a 7 leg multi this week.  This multi will pay around $130 per dollar invested.

Leg 1: Crusaders to defeat the Western Force by 13 points or more in Super Rugby..

Leg 2: Collingwood to defeat St Kilda by 40 points or more in the AFL.

Leg 3: St Louis Cardinals to cover the line (-1.5 runs) against the San Francisco Giants in the MLB (Saturday morning game).

Leg 4: Toronto Blue Jays to cover the line (-1.5 runs) against the Kansas City Royals in the MLB (Saturday morning game).

Leg 5: Port Adelaide to defeat Melbourne by 40 points or more in the AFL.

Leg 6: Hurricanes to cover the line (-1.5 points) against the Blues in Super Rugby.

Leg 7: New Zealand Warriors to cover the line (-7.5 points) against the Newcastle Knights in the NRL.

As always:

  1. Please gamble responsibly.
  2. All care is taken with the tips on this site however no responsiblity for losses is offered.

Winter Racing Carnival: Doomben 10,000

I love the winter racing carnival in Brisbane and Doomben 10,000 day was always my favourite day to get to the track. I haven’t been in attendance at the track for a few years but this is always a day that gets the pulse racing for me.

Here are my tips for the day at Doomben (with some commentary):

Race 2:

Can’t go past Agitate (No 1) here. Will be too good for this field and loves Doomben having collected each of its 5 wins there.

Race 4:

Follow the form here and there is no better form in this race than that around Leebaz which means my tip is Wistful (No 13). Has been crushed in the fixed price market so I would get on early.

Race 5:

After my first two tips of the day I went searching for a bit of value in this race and on that score I can not fault Jazz Song (No 14). Has improved markedly this preparation and has been gagging for the increase in distance. Each way special for mine.

Race 6:

Back to the short prices for Race 6 because there is no way I can go past Brazen Beau (No 2). Absolutely smashed a similar field in the Champagne Classic and has a trainer (Waller) who loves this race.

Doomben 10,000 (Race 8):

The big race on the card looked like a race in two between Spirit of Boom and Buffering when the nominations closed and the field was finalised. However when I looked at the form my eyes kept coming back to a runner I was on last start, Knoydart. Everything is pointing to a winning performance with this runner: right training, right jockey and right stable. Add in the right odds and this horse is my pick to take on and best the more fancied runners.

As always:

1. Please gamble responsibly and within your means.

2. All care is taken with these tips but no responsibility for losses incurred.

Have an excellent Doomben 10,000 day whether you are at the track or watching from home.
