Shumpty’s Punt: Saturday Sports

Multi’s have not been my friend of late. More particularly betting on the line has cost me some money. So for today’s multi I am just going to go straight out on a six leg multi today to get back on track. Hockey and basketball are again the focus of attention.

Leg 1: Philadelphia 76ers to defeat the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA.

Leg 2: Indiana Pacers to defeat the Boston Celtics in the NBA.

Leg 3: Calgary Flames to defeat the Florida Panthers in the NHL.

Leg 4: Vancouver Canucks to defeat the Columbus Blue Jackets in the NHL.

Leg 5: Anaheim Ducks to defeat the Tampa Bay Lightning in the NHL.

Leg 6: Portland Trailblazers to defeat the Chicago Bulls in the NBA.

It is Friday and it is another day on which there is money to be won on sport. We missed it by one game yesterday and are trying again with another four leg multi:

Leg 1: Toronto Maple Leafs to defeat the Nashville Predators in the NHL.

Leg 2: Oklahoma City Thunder to cover the line (-5.5 points) against the LA Clippers in the NBA.

Leg 3: New Orleans Saints to cover the line (-10 points) against the Atlanta Falcons in the NFL.

Leg 4: Chicago Bulls to defeat the Denver Nuggets in the NBA.

Shumpty’s Punt: Thursday’s Tipping

It was another rough day yesterday with basketball results killing the multi whilst the hockey results went in punters favor. Here is today’s multi which is again a mix of hockey and basketball.

Leg 1: Indiana Pacers to cover the line (-6.0 points) against the New York Knicks in the NBA.

Leg 2: Washington Capitals to cover the line (+1.5 goals) against the Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL.

Leg 3: Portland Trailblazers to cover the line (-4.0 points) against the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA.

Leg 4: New Jersey Devils to cover the line (+1.5 goals) against the Anaheim Ducks in the NHL.

This is a slightly shorter multi than usual: I expect it will only pay around the $7.50 mark.

We struck out yesterday on the multi. In fact we did not even get close. However, I am supremely confident about getting back into the winner’s circle today with this four leg multi:

Leg 1: St Louis Blues to cover the line (-1.5 goals) against the Buffalo Sabres in the NHL.

Leg 2: Minnesota Timberwolves to cover the line (-3.5 points) against the Washington Wizards in the NBA.

Leg 3: Philadelphia Flyers to defeat the Ottawa Senators in the NHL.

Leg 4: New York Knicks to cover the line (+4 points) against the Detroit Pistons in the NBA.

I was going to have a day off on the punt today but then I saw the odds that have been posted for the New England Patriots in their fixture against the Carolina Panthers and had to wade in. $2.28 constitutes massive overs for them today so I will be have a wager there.

Have also put together a 4 leg multi around the Patriots as follows:

Leg 1: Brooklyn Nets to defeat the Portland Trailblazers in the NBA.

Leg 2: Pittsburgh Penguins to cover the line (-1.5 goals) against the Anaheim Ducks in the NHL.

Leg 3: New England Patriots to defeat the Carolina Panthers in the NFL.

Leg 4: Memphis Grizzlies to covverthe line (+ 8 points) against the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA.

Shumpty’s Punt: the Monday Multi

It is Sunday in America and that means American Football is the focus. Sunday night football pits the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs against the Denver Broncos. Bizarrely the Broncos have been installed as very short priced favourites. I have anchored my multi around the Chiefs covering the line in this game which I think is the bet of the day. It is only a 3 leg multi but I am quietly confident we will be on the money with this one:

Leg 1: Memphis Grizzlies to cover the line (-2.0 points) against the Sacremento Kings in the NBA.

Leg 2: Minnesota Wild to cover the line (-1.5 goals) against the Winnepeg Jets in the NHL.

Leg 3: Kansas City Chiefs to cover the line (-7.5 points) against the Denver Broncos in the NFL.

This multi will pay around the $9.50 mark for every dollar invested.
