Graham Annesley, CEO of the Gold Coast Titans, has announced that Greg Bird has been removed as co-captain of the Titans, among other punishments, in the aftermath of him receiving an infringement notice for public urination.
This was 100% the right call and one the Titans ought be lauded for. They should also be lauded for the swiftness with which this issue has been handled.
It remains incomprehensible to me that Bird was stupid enough to put himself in this position. One wonders if he will finally learn?

Well played Sean Abbott!
Just checked in on the score in the game between my beloved Queensland Bulls and the New South Wales Blues at the SCG. The Bulls got destroyed by the Blues but I have to say I sit here with a smile on my face.
The reason why is simple … these bowling figures:
Sean Abbott 7-3-14-6
I wrote earlier in the week that the best cricket news of 2014 was the fact that Sean Abbott was playing in this game and that piece of news is still the best. It must be said though that today’s performance from this impressive young man nearly trumps it.
Well played Sean Abbott!!!

Friday Best Bet
It is Friday and Fridays should always be fun shouldn’t it? I could not pick a multi I was confident today however I do have one bet today that I am very keen on. The best value of the day in my opinion is:
Tampa Bay Lightning to cover the line (-1.5 goals) against the Carolina Hurricanes in the NHL.
This bet is paying $2.40 and represents the best bet of the day.
As always:
- Please gamble responsibly.
- All care is taken with these tips however no responsibility vests for losses incurred.

Thursday Tempter: Mid week Multi
It has been a while since I had a mid week multi bet but the sport on in America at the moment is a little to good to resist. I think there is plenty of value out there and have come up with this multi for today’s sport.
Leg 1: Los Angeles Clippers to cover the line (-7 points) against the Indiana Pacers in the NBA
Leg 2: Dallas Mavericks to cover the line (-7 points) against the New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA
Leg 3: Anaheim Ducks to cover the line (-1.5 goals) against the Edmonton Oilers in the NHL.
This multi will pay $8.20 per dollar invested.
As always:
1. Please gamble responsibly.
2. All care is taken with these tips but no responsibility vests for losses incurred.
