Followers of me on twitter will know that I attended an industry dinner last night at which the speaker was a fellow by the name of Matthew Ames. His story has been in the press of late but started some 18 months ago when a sore throat turned nasty and he woke up 3 weeks later without his arms and legs.
Matthew spoke to us about his journey and used his experiences to talk about the management of risks, particularly catastrophic risks. It was an amazing speech and to have 150 odd insolvency practitioners spell bound, as Matthew did, is not mean feat.
If you haven’t heard of Matthew check out this website http://renovatingmatthew.com/ for more information. It will certainly be worth your effort!
